Artist Statement

I am an artist working primarily in the field of Installation. The idea is always the starting point, and my belief that form and format are mediums for ideas means that my practice follows the concept and occasionally extends into the realms of Performance, Sound, or Video.

At the core of my work are the transitional zones where organic and technological systems intersect and influence one another, the melting point between the natural and the technological, between the human and machine. I am particularly interested in how energy and electricity intertwine and to what extent the terms and understanding of both concepts can be shifted, overlaid, or interwoven through artistic practice.

I often work with everyday technological objects sourced from recycling centers, such as used batteries and cables, using them to create multi-layered narratives and poetic connections. In my work, batteries emerge as symbols of social structures, energy flows, people, and life energy, while cables embody nervous systems, trees, plants, roots, and the Wood Wide Web.
